Pizza Fusion = winner!

After sitting in the office all afternoon looking at this…..
75 degrees + sunny = wanna be outside!

75 degrees + sunny = wanna be outside!

…. I was totally pumped to pick up Lucy Dog from doggie daycare and head home!  Little did I know that the UPS man would ring our doorbell a bit later and surprise me with this…

… a prepaid Verizon Visa card for $100 for being first time Fios customers!!!  Ummm Verizon rocks my world…. whoop whoop!

So after this surprise Friday gift, The Man got home from work and we headed out to the one, the only – PIZZA FUSION!

Here we come!!

Here we come!!

Upon being seated in this cute lil’ place we were served some H2O

Soooo thirstyyyy haha

and The Man and I decided to start by sharing the half PEAR & GORGONZOLA SALAD – a mix of arugula, romaine, pear, gorgonzola and candied walnuts – dressing of choice being balsamic vinagrette.

The candied walnuts were divine!!

The candied walnuts were divine!!

This salad was super fresh and delicious, the sweetness of the pear & walnuts was complimented beautifully by the tangy arugula and balsamic vinagrette – totally deelish way to start off the meal!

Then came the pizza choices – since we had a coupon for a free Large 1 topping pizza, The Man decided that he would make his choice based on this (he’s such a trooper 🙂 ).  He got to choose (1) crust type — organic white, multigrain, gluten free (2) sauce type — organic tomato, bbq, pesto, olive oil and (3) any 1 topping

The Man combo:  (1) multigrain crust – I was so proud! 🙂 (2) bbq sauce (3) pulled chicken

This thing was HUGE!!

This thing was HUGE!!

And he sure was ready for some eatin’!

Ummm this is scary haha

Then came the star of the show – FARMER’S MARKET PIZZA!!! – multigrain crust topped with roasted artichoke hearts, red onion, roasted zucchini and roasted Portobello with tomato sauce, mozzarella, provolone and parmesan.

HOLY CRAP this thing was A-MAY-ZINGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heavenly pizza pie....

Heavenly pizza pie....

I don’t know how they make their tomato sauce, and perhaps it’s because it is all-natural, but it was some of the best sauce I have ever tasted (and I swear I am not even a huge pizza junkie!)  Seriously.  It had this certain sweetness to it that was just phenomenal, and when paired with roasted veggies and a thin grain crust — PERFECTION!

These pizzas had no grease, light cheese, perfect toppings and I would go to this place again in a HEARTBEAT!! 🙂  It definitely exceeded my expectations and then some 🙂  Go Pizza Fusion!!

Well after our fantastic dinner experience we decided to stop at World Market (slightly obsessed?) to take a look at a certain rug for our master bedroom – score, it’s been ordered and should be in soon!

While we were there we had to check out the goodies & beer/wine selection — it is Friday right?!?!

I could live here?!?

I could live here?!?

We ended up grabbin’ some scrumptious chocolates

honey & green tea chocolate - I think so!

And of course some drankin’ goodness — check out the name of this wine 🙂 I couldn’t resist!!
Foodies Wine!, pumpkin ale!

Foodies Wine!, pumpkin ale!

And now we are home relaxin’ and I think gettin’ ready to find a movie to watch – wine/beer/chocolate in hand!

Hope all you friends had a superfab evening and see you bright and early for a trip to the Farmer’s Market (w/ my momma!)  — the first fall fruits & veggies are here!!!   I’m also due for a fun workout, still decidin’ on what that will be!  🙂 🙂  Happy Friday 🙂 🙂
