Gotta be flexible

Thanks for all the awesome feedback on today’s earlier post! I love hearing what all you friends have to say and I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and share your thoughts 🙂

I also enjoyed opening up the blog conversation to topics like that and hope to do some similar posts in the future!

Well tonight we came home to a big storm a brewin’…. but quite honestly, I’m okay with that bc check out the ridiculous amount of pollen on my car?!?!

Well, lookey here, according to Pollen.com good ol’ Richmond is #2 on the list of “worst cities for allergies” today!  That explains it haha.

Oh yes, this fine city of ours checks in on the scale at a whopping HIGH.

And don’t know how long this rain will wash it away for, what is up with THAT?!

Now I don’t normally have issues with allergies, however The Poor Sneezing Coughing Congested Man sure does 😦  He is not a happy camper right now!  And today my throat has been scratchy/sore for some reason too and I have actually been sneezing & had congestion which is odd for me?

Probably the sky high crazy outta control pollen but what do I know….

So the bad news about that is that my yoga workout was postponed until tomorrow.  I didn’t get home from work until late either tonight so this just worked out perfectly actually!

Sometimes you gotta be flexible (ha get it, yoga, flexible :P) and work with your schedule when you are a busy workin’ woman! or any woman for that matter 😉

Tomorrow I know that I will return with a vigor and crush that yoga routine – booyah.

On the menu tonight was a comforting and easy type of dinner.  One that I knew would be perfect on this lazy rainy stormy night!

His & Hers Breakfast for Dinner 🙂

Her dinner included some “nurse me back to health” oats along with a “wanna-be” omelet!

  • 1/3 cup oat bran
  • 1/3 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • sprinkle chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp maca powder
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 tblsp shredded coconut
  • maple syrup & shredded coconut to top

May have been one of my best batches yet 😉

The “omelet” started out like this….

I sauteed up some diced onions & spinach (remember this Costco purchase, it freezes beautifully FYI!) in some coconut oil.  Then added it to a mixture of 2 egg whites/1 egg plus some cheese to top… all in a pan sprayed with cooking spray.

Buttttt major omelet fail tonight, I blame it on the allergies 😉

Doused in Frank’s Hot Sauce, obvi…. my taste buds must be shot tonight haha my tolerance for this stuff was through the roof for once?! 😛

The Man had a similar dinner, with the exception of any greens or oats and with the addition of bacon and sausage.

Uhhh guess it’s not quite so similar after all haha.

It hit the spot for both of us sneezin’ fools!

Speakin’ of my sneezin’ fool 😉 time to go get us some medicine and hang out watching tv for the rest of the night.  Yep, that’s how we roll!

Now let’s just hope that Lucy Dog doesn’t get too scared with the storm tonight and keep us up, we all remember what happened last time around (poor scaredy dog!)

Have a great night friends!
